    HI Jonathan,
A colleague from ICE showed me your blog about Oaxaca. Are you on the UFTers To Stop the War listserv? Do you want to be? If so, send me your e-mail and I will add you to it. We would love to have you. Our next meeting will be on Thurs. 9/28, 5 PM, at the offices of our very own union at 50 Broadway. (They will not be providing dinner, however!)
Also, there is going to be a demo at the Mexican Consulate on Thurs. 9/21 from 5pm to 6pm to protest the repression against the teachers in Oaxaca. Please spread the word. Hope to hear back from you.

    Thanks

(though the photos are uploaded via wordpress and I made the files too big and used up my allotment, and now I need to start using Flickr).

Hey, interesting posts of yours about Ridgewood…want to come to the burbs for a cocktail party and tell everyone how bad TERC Investigations can be?

We are getting CMP also in our middle schools.

We could use some help, statements from teachers always help support our issue or reviews on the new versions of these old dogs.

Write us if you’ve gotten anything new to say.

I found a jd2718 at flickr: is that you?

And thank you: I had only looked to see what 9 was in other bases. But of course, with an expression you need operations.

Put up your spider pics. We can see whose spider is grossest!

Last year while a couple of towns in Vermont were considering striking (legal here, which is new to me), Vermont Public Radio had a call-in show about whether a state-wide contract would be a good thing. Quebec does that.

A listener called up and actually said that since we teach because we love the little children, we should teach and shut-up.

    It was a serious call.

I wasn’t sure where to leave this comment since it wasn’t completely content-specific; I hope this isn’t too much of an intrusion.

I just want to share my puzzle website with you, http://www.webkendoku.com.

It is a place where you can play online KenKen games. According to Wikipedia, KenKen is logic and math puzzle developed by a Japanese mathematics teacher Tetsuya Miyamoto for the classroom.

Also, other math teachers have found it useful with their students.

Thank you for your time and again I hope this was not too much of an intrusion.

    Cheers.

Should be getting them from your payroll secretary soon. I think I had a notice on Friday – it’s still in my box. When I get back to school I will check the exact date.
